#LashesNLemonade Veteran's Day Charity Event, November 9-11, 2014

We are very humbled to announce #LashesNLemonade, Veterans Day Charity Event, November 9-11, 2014 from 9:30am to 6:30pm in Clinton, Maryland 20735.  It will be a day of pampering for Women Veterans, Active Duty Women, Military Spouses, Military Widows, all services provided by Ms. Kobe Ellis, Owner of EBK Beauty, Jacksonville, FL. Kobe will provide deeply discounted eyelash, eyebrow services to women veterans and those that serve along side their spouse. All women are eligible to participate, however the prices will be slightly higher for others. The Warford Foundation, Inc will receive a portion of all proceeds for BeautyBrainsBelief Mentoring & Project Impact Scholars Programs.

Hazel Ware, High School Junior & TWF Intern


Hazel Ware is a Principal’s Honor high school student registered in a Science and Tech Program as well as a dual enrollment program at a local college.  Hazel was academically skipped twice.  As a result, she started high school at age 12.  Hazel is also enrolled at the Hope Chinese School since 2012, where she is learning to speak Mandarin.  Additionally, Hazel is an intern at The Warford Foundation, Inc in Clinton Maryland as the Director of Research Programs, and the Special Assistant to the CEO.

Hazel inspires to become a well-established neurosurgeon.  She is recognized as gifted and talented, and is known for her academic excellence, innovations, creativity, leadership, and willingness to assist others.  She attended Harvard University Summer College in 2014 and Georgetown University Summer College in 2013, where she took courses to enhance her academics.

Hazel demonstrates leadership as one of the top students at the high school she attends.  She is a member of the Principal’s Advisory Committee, Student Council, Mentoring in Medicine, and the founder and president of the AP Crusader Study Group, which is embraced by the school’s principal, his administrative staff, and students at the high school.  Further, Hazel is a member of the National Honors and Merit Scholar Society, The National Society of High School Scholars, and the president of the NAACP Youth Council in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

In recent years, Hazel was a recipient of the Charles County Board of Education and was recognized as an outstanding student.   She has received ceremonial awards that include President Barack Obama Educational Excellence Award, Principal’s Honors, and Excellence in English, Math, Science, Spanish, the National Geography Bee Winner, and MESA.

In the area of extra curriculum, Hazel was a member of the Charles County Elites and competed at the Jr. Olympic Games in New Orleans.  She is currently a member of the lacrosse team the school she attends.  Additionally, she enjoys playing tennis, soccer, softball, volleyball, baseball, and basketball.  Hazel enjoys reading, academic challenges, mentoring, support, and participates in charity events, and community service.  Hazel loves to travel internationally where she often mentors and tutors underprivileged children.

Hazel comes from a supporting family who has always instilled the importance of God, family, and education in its children’s lives.  They are proactive parents who support and strive to assist their children with their goals.  Hazel is a phenomenal student who strives for excellence!
